亚色影库’s Work Health and Safety Unit offers a range of training programs with the aim of providing useful and relevant health and safety related skills and knowledge; to enable staff to participate and contribute more effectively as a member of the 亚色影库 community and to assist in driving a positive safety culture at the University.
Instruction, training and supervision of staff are essential components in the implementation and continued improvement of safe working practices. Staff need to know how to do their job and how to do it safely. This includes ensuring their own safety and that of others (eg. students and volunteers). Staff also need to know the expectations of their supervisor (e.g. manager) and the work unit in terms of the performance of their role.

Mandatory Work Health and Safety Training All Staff

WHS-PRO-004 Appendix 1 亚色影库 Mandatory Training provides all workers with an overview of 亚色影库 WHS Mandatory Training requirements including casuals, postgraduate students and higher degree students.
Students
Access the training below to complete the mandatory training for Higher Degree Students and Post Graduate Students.
The 亚色影库 WHS Induction is mandatory. The primary aim of the induction is to provide participants with an important overview of health and safety policies, procedures and safe work practices. The 亚色影库 WHS Online Induction is divided into topics with questions at the end that are designed to confirm understanding of the information provided.

The Fire Evacuation Program (FEP) is an interactive online training, assessment and evacuation planning program which meets the requirements of the Queensland Fire Regulations and Australian Standards. You are required to complete the FEP for each building that you work in. You are also required to complete the FEP when you are relocated to work in another building.

All staff are required to undertake general and site/work specific WHS Induction. Managers are responsible for ensuring that new staff receive this induction on their first day at work. Both the manger and new staff member must sign the induction checklist and the supervisor must keep a copy for audit purposes.

Work Health and Safety Training
Work Health and Safety training that is organised by 亚色影库 WHS Unit is open to all staff and students to attend. Some training session require an approval and can incur a cost as they are conducted by external training providers.
This course provides a systematic and consistent approach to creating, managing and approving field trips in a controlled environment at 亚色影库 using the RiskWare Field Trip Module. This sessions provides participants with knowledge of safety duty, obligations and responsibilities as well as identify key features of the RiskWare Field Trip Module.
- All workers working with Biologicals or in an OGTR certified facility (PC1, PC2, PC3) As per WHS-PRO-009 Biosafety Procedure.
- Speak to your supervisors to gain access to the Learn 亚色影库 Biosafety Community Organisation to complete this training

All contractors conducting minor or major works, shall complete the 亚色影库 online contractor work health and safety induction prior to the contractor attending the 亚色影库 workplace to commence work. Inductions must be refreshed every three years to remain current.
